Since 1998, Dr. Watterson has built a unique practice seeking to balance compassion, trust, technology, artistry, and function. His goal is to bring you the very best care and most effective, long lasting dentistry possible, while keeping you comfortable. We provide a wide range of care from routine professional cleanings to complete smile makeovers. We believe, “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”
Our hygienists will customize a program that keeps your smile healthy. We suggest seeing your hygienist for regular maintenance at least twice each year, unless otherwise recommended. Communicate with your hygienist what you would like to achieve with your care.
Most filings are now tooth colored, made of a durable resin material that is fused to the tooth. These provide a more natural looking restoration that is longer lasting.
If consistent oral health is a challenge, your hygienist may recommend sealants. Sealing the deep grooves of the teeth can drastically reduce the amount of tooth decay in children and adolescents.
All is not lost if you have gum disease! You might not even be aware of gum disease. Our highly skilled hygienists perform therapeutic cleanings to restore your gums to good health. The goal of gum disease treatment is to control the infection while preventing bone loss and keeping tissue from further damage.
Removable Partials & Dentures
Are you tired of having your denture slide around in your mouth like a hockey puck? Watterson Family Dentistry will work with you to make the most stable and comfortable appliance possible.
As much as possible, Dr. Watterson uses CEREC, our advanced CAD/CAM technology to produce a crown, inlay, or onlay right in our office. These restorations require a more conservative preparation of the tooth, leaving more of your tooth structure. These procedures can sometimes be completed in one visit, eliminating the need for temporaries and extra visits to our office. Our team has access to the best materials and will help you make the best choice for your personal situation.
Sure, there are other options out there for straightening your teeth, but none offer the level of comfort, convenience and confidence you'll find with Invisalign®. And no matter what stage you're at in life, you'll appreciate how the cutting-edge approach to treatment has minimal interference in how you live, but has a significant positive impact on how you look and feel about yourself.
Artificial Root Replacements
Artificial Root Replacements are a popular option for replacing a missing tooth. Rather than resting on the gum line like removable dentures or using adjacent teeth as anchors like a dental bridge, artificial root replacements are placed into the jawbone where they act as an anchor for replacement teeth. An artificial root replacement looks and feels like a natural tooth, allowing you to chew and speak normally.
Having a fear of the dentist is not uncommon. Technology today allows us to provide you with a visit that will ease your fears and leave you with little to no memory!
This is sometimes a necessary procedure in order to treat an inflamed or infected nerve. We use the latest technology to make your experience comfortable, returning you to normal function as quickly as possible.
